Quick Update Regarding Covid-19

Dear Friends,

At this point I don’t need to go into detail about the ways in which the Covid-19 pandemic is affecting our lives, but I do want to offer an update on how the New Belgium Family Foundation is responding.

First of all, we plan to go ahead with grantmaking as planned for 2020. We will continue to provide multi-year general operating support to the organizations that we fund, recognizing that this kind of support is needed now more than ever.

We are researching other ways in which we can support community-led efforts through our discretionary grant program so that our staff and board members can directly provide support to efforts where they live.

Big picture, we are closely following the responses of federal and state governments, the business and non profit community, and other funders, as we figure out our role in all of this.
