Mighty Partner working on Climate
AMERICAN FORESTS
It’s not just that rivers make our lives better. We can’t survive without them.
Why we love them
They have been a conservation group working to restore forests since 1895!
Who they are
American Forests creates healthy and resilient forests, from cities to large natural landscapes, that deliver essential benefits for climate, people, water and wildlife. They advance their mission through forestry innovation, place-based partnerships to plant and restore forests, and movement building.
Did you know?
Trees are sparse in socioeconomically disadvantaged and neighborhoods of color and more prominent in wealthier, whiter neighborhoods. Redlining policies, dating back to the 1930s, helped lay the groundwork for this inequity. The Tree Equity Score tool provides a free, easy to access guide path for building understanding, commitment and action around Tree Equity.
